Mirboo North is located on the “top of the ridge” in the Strzelecki Ranges. It’s a great base to explore spectacular South Gippsland scenery by car or foot.
Mirboo North is along the Grand Ridge Road, a drive often described as one of Victoria’s “most spectacular”. It begins south of Warragul and continues about 130km to Tarra Bulga National Park. Along the way you’ll travel through fern gullies, farmland and Mountain Ash trees.
After exploring the region head to Grand Ridge Brewery and Restaurant in town for an internationally awarded beverage.
For recreation tee off on Mirboo North’s 18 hole golf course or marvel at the surroundings at the outdoor swimming pool.
Have a barbecue in Mirboo North’s main relaxation area, Baromi Park. Located in the centre of town it also has toilets, a playground and skate area.
A country market and fresh produce market happen monthly on different Saturdays.
Mossvale Park, a wonderful English style park between Mirboo North and Leongatha, hosts a number of music festivals in the warmer months.
Places to visit include The Big Tree at Darlimurla.
Mirboo North is about 150km from Melbourne and 35km from the Latrobe Valley.
Stay at Birchwood Retreat Country Cottages and Loves Lane Cottages.
