The Waratah Beach Surf Llife Saving Club provides a lifesaving patrol service at Sandy Point near Wilsons Promontory National Park. The flagged patrol area is generally located in the front of the club. Closest access track to the patrol location is the extension of the Surfers Walk.

• Volunteer Marine Rescue Waratah – Offshore rescue boat providing support to boats on Shallow Inlet or Waratah Bay.

• First Response – Lifesaving personnel have the skills to provide advanced resuscitation and first aid to people in distress in the township of Sandy Point

• Beach Safety Education – Nippers is an excellent way for children to learn about safety and the surf environment
