Marine displays are at the Port Welshpool Museum, which is open daily. There are plans to restore the one kilometre plus, long jetty near the town. Port Welshpool is about 200km or two and a half hours from the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne in the north-eastern margin of Corner Inlet. A few kilometres north of Port Welshpool is the town of Welshpool. From here you can drive a further 9km to the Agnes Falls Reserve; the site of one of Victoria’s highest waterfalls. Here the Agnes River plunges 60m. Take a picnic or cook up a barbecue and enjoy a walk around the reserve. Adjoining towns Toora is about 10 minutes drive from Port Welshpool. Port Albert is about 20 minutes drive from Port Welshpool. |
