Kongwak

A rural hamlet just off the Inverloch-Korumburra Road which lies centrally between Inverloch, Korumburra, Leongatha, Loch and Wonthaggi.

Kongwak lies in a valley, the valley of Peace, and has the remains of a more prosperous past in the form of an old butter factory and general store. The latter is the site for the quite well renowned weekly Sunday market. The market has been running for 5 years on every weekend and has a devoted band of followers who love the intimacy and community it brings.

There is also a reserve which covers the hill to the back of Kongwak and which has several walking tracks through the stands of tall gum trees. Access is from the road behind the primary school.

Kongwak Hall and a park with barbecue facilities (next to the tennis courts adjacent to the school).
