Grand Ridge Rail TrailCycling and walking trail between Mirboo North and Boolarra in the Strzelecki Ranges. The Grand Ridge Rail Trail from Mirboo North to Boolarra was damaged by the 2009 fires. The sections from Mirboo North to Old Darlimurla Road and Boolarra to Bair Creek have been re-opened, however the destruction of the bridges at Bair Creek and Darlimurla means that the section between Bair Creek and the Old Darlimurla Road remains closed. Works are currently underway to rehabilitate the trail, and it is anticipated this section will be opened by the end of 2010. Department of Sustainability and Environment - June 18, 2010 |
