Lester Homestead includes three well-built bedrooms, two rooms furnished with queen size beds and the third, two large single beds. All beds are luxurious Sealy Posture-pedic beds, ensuring a comfortable night's rest. The spacious study provides a double bed futon to sleep two extra people or can be used as a second lounge or retreat area. Beautiful Sheridan linen and towels have been supplied for the convenience of your stay.

Lester Homestead features original kauri pine timber wall panelling, baltic pine floorboards with modern fittings such as Tasmanian ash cabinets, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. The dining area has delightful views overlooking breathtaking country and sea views.

The open and spacious lounge area is furnished with two leather chesterfields, which provides comfort and relaxation. The large capacity wood heater with a plentiful wood supply provides ample warmth to the homestead on cold winter nights. A television, DVD / VCR player is also provided for enjoyment of guests.

Lester Homestead offers gracious fully furnished and self catered accommodation for up to 8 people. This renovated Victorian homestead is located on 'Tallandbar', a beef and prime lamb farm of over 1,000 acres.

The homestead dates from the 1860's gold-mining days in Foster, well before the time of farm settlement by Jack Lester as it served as the first Foster Hospital for many years from approximately 1870 until 1959. The house later served as a comfortable home for the Tallandbar farm managers and their families from the 1950's until 2000.

PEAK: 1st September to 30th April plus Queen's Birthday (12th June) - $230.00 per night for 4 people plus $30 per extra person.

OFF PEAK: 1st May to 31st August - $184.00 per night for 4 people plus $30 per extra person.
