Bass View Cabins - 10 minute drive to the Prom - Yanakie, Wilsons Promontory

Bass View Cabins are a lovely secluded place for a getaway and you will be very well looked after. This was our second visit and we will return.

Very quiet peaceful surroundings, easy drive to Prom. Had 5 nights of great sleep here. Cabin well fitted out, but could do with a new couch in living area. Liked reading the guest book comments very entertaining. Good idea to get provisions in Leongatha if coming from Melbourne.

Lovely clean and well-equipped cabins in a peaceful setting, surrounded by lots of birds and rabbits. Close enough to the Prom to go in and out each day. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We would give more stars if we could. This cottage was a wonderful retreat - clean, comfortable and an easy jumping off spot for Wilson's Promontory. We wish we could have stayed longer - much longer. It felt like home.

The cabin had all the facilities we required for our days away and was very clean and well presented. We loved the touch of the patchwork rugs which personalised our cabin. It was a very relaxing and attractive location not far from the gates of the Prom and from a number of lovely walks. Many thanks for an enjoyable break.

I am tempted to give this a bad review so I can keep it to myself; but that would be cruel!!! My friend & I had been to a music festival for a few days & this place was a haven where we could recover; get clean; enjoy nature & peace & quiet & catch up on sleep. Also took some amazing photos. It was wonderful & I want to return; without the music festival beforehand though! I'd come just for a holiday here :)

Wonderful little cottage in a great location. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the facilities available and thought the place was excellent value for money. If and when we do manage to return to the Prom, I'll definitely consider another stay in the place. It's a shame cute little Basil (little dog) will be "fully" grown by then.

We stayed for 2 nights. The location was tranquil with great view of the Inlet; sunset was magic. The cabin was clean, well maintained and well equipped reflecting the owner's thoughtfulness. It is highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location is convenient and the cabin location on the property is great. The only concern was that the evenings and especially the mornings were quite cool and there was no heating. We would have liked a heater to put on half hour or so in the morning to take the chill off. Instead we had to wear outdoor jackets indoors. We did not need air conditioning, nor the fans, but I imagine on hot days it would be quite uncomfortable in the cabin and fans don't quite do it in those types of cabins which heat up very quickly and get cold very quickly. Just fantastic. Even though due to bad weather we experienced a black out, our hosts gave us a gas stove and candles for the evening. Definitely place to recommend for a cosy and relaxed getaway.
