Located away from tourist crowds and suburban areas, one only, contemporary styled, two-storey timber cabin surrounded by protected native bushland. Walk to beaches and tranquil wetlands. The eco retreat is a romantic choice for couples celebrating special occasions, and an alternative holiday option for small groups and families. 2 hours drive from Melbourne city and 35 mins drive to Wilsons Promontory National Park. Private, peaceful and exclusive to your booking with one accommodation cabin only. The accommodation is air conditioned with large picture windows and double doors opening to a covered deck. Tariff includes linen, towels, beach towels and many extras provided to make your visit easy, enjoyable and comfortable in all seasons. The bathroom features a free standing bath with private bushland views, separate shower and heated towel rail. Certified organic bathroom products, cleaned using oganic essential oils, and utilising solar power, rainwater collection, wildlife conservation, organic fruit and herb gardens, Australian native gardens and protected bushland. Your visit to the eco retreat helps conserve our beautiful coast and its unique wildlife. Free guided wildlife walks are available on request, including night walks. The eco reteat is an owner hosted venue providing visitor information and local maps. The accommodation sleeps max 5 people including children 0 - 16yrs. There is one queen bed and one single bed in an open plan loft, and a luxury inflatable double bed downstairs on request. Port-a-cot with linen, highchair, baby bath and soft toys provided; please advise the ages of any children included in your booking. Children must be supervised by adults at all times. The inflatable downstairs bed is suitable for guests with limited mobility, the cabin accommodates two couples with private bedroom spaces (one upstairs, one downstairs) and a shared bathroom. Singles, couples or families, max 5. Certified organic and local produce continental breakfast provisions are included in the tariff for the first night for bookings of 2-3 people; bookings with four or more people are self catering for all meals including breakfast. All bookings are self catering for main meals. Organic teas and freshly ground organic plunger coffee are complimentary throughout your stay. Discover gourmet cooking using the Cobb eco friendly BBQ on the covered deck. Shops, cafes, country pubs and restaurants are located nearby. Well equipped kitchenette, laundry facilities, off road secure parking for two or more cars.

No smoking indoors, smokers may use the outside veranda. If smokers use the indoor areas an additional cleaning and deodourising fee may be charged. Children must be supervised by adults at all times, including the outdoor areas.

Cancellations:

Deposits are not refundable for cancellations made less than four weeks before the scheduled arrival date unless another booking can be found for the same dates. A 30% cancellation fee applies for all cancellations. Secure online booking system using Visa or Mastercard.

Children & Extra Guest Policy:

Children are welcome at the eco reteat and ages 0-16 are included in the guest total for each booking option, up to a max of five people. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Correa Cabin singles - 1 adult. Correa Cabin couples - 1 adult couple, or 2 singles. Correa Cabin 3 people - 1 adult couple and 1 single adult, 1 couple and 1 child, 1 adult and 2 children, 3 single adults. Correa Cabin 4 or 5 people - 2 couples, 1 couple and 2 or 3 children, 1 couple and 2 single adults, 2 couples and 1 single adult.

Free, secure off road parking for up to 3 vehicles. Space for a boat trailer.

Things to do:

Walking, cycling and running trails lead from the eco retreat to stunning beaches, native bushland and tranquil wetlands. Trails are suitable for all fitness levels including children. Long and short walks with local maps provided. Free guided wildlife walks by request, including night walks. The eco retreat is a great place to take time out to relax and refresh mind, body and spirit in beautiful natural surroundings. See native gardens, protected bushland and wildlife living in their natural habitat. The South Gippsland region is well known for high quality slow food, art and craft galleries, produce markets, boutique wineries, scenic landscapes and small country towns. 35 mins scenic drive to Wilsons Promontory National Park. Free entry. 55 mins drive to Phillip Island Penguin Parade.

Cape Liptrap Coastal Park - bush and beach walks, picnic areas, recreation fishing, surfing, body boarding, wildlife viewing, photography, bicycle trails. Bunurong Marine National Park - snorkelling, surfing, diving, beach picnics, Dinosour Dreaming visitor information and education programs. Anderson Inlet - tranquil wetlands, sheltered swimming beach suitable for young children, bushwalks, recreation fishing, canoeing, small boats, sailing, wildlife viewing. Venus Bay village - shops, cafes, take away, summer produce markets, picnic areas and playgrounds, bicycle trails. Getting There:

From Venus Bay village take Centre Road straight through a roundabout to Lees Road. Turn left into Lees Road, travel a short distance then turn right where Lees Road meets Canterbury Road. Keep travelling along Lees Road until you have passed through housing estates 1 and 2 (see locality map). Venus Bay Eco Retreat is at 802 Lees Road on housing estate 3, a conservation zone.

Venus Bay Eco Retreat entrance track is on the right approx 10 metres past the sign post to Williamsons Road (Williamsons Road is an unmade No Through Road sign-posted on the left of Lees Road). Drive very slowly along the winding entrance track to the car park and vegetable garden, park your car here and walk along the track to the reception area.
