The light-filled open plan living area features: Modern fully equipped kitchen with caeserstone benchtops, glass splashback, stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and 900mm oven and microwave; Dining area; Spacious lounge area with large HD flatscreen TV, BlueRay player and leads out to a huge deck. The deck is the perfect place to relax with undercover outdoor setting, hooded BBQ and Jarrah sun lounges.

The property has 3 large bedrooms. Bed 1 with a queen bed, flat screen TV, ensuite and walk-in robe. Bed 2 has two sets of single bunks, flat screen TV and built-in robes. Bed 3 has queen bed and built in robes.

Large, stylish main bathroom with stepless shower. Walk through laundry with front loading washing machine and large storage cupboards. Outside the laundry there is an external shower for rinsing off after enjoying a day at the beach.

The house has been built to a 7 star energy rating which makes it easy keeping the ambient temperature comfortable, via the zoned heating/cooling split system a/con.

Everything is provided apart from linen, so we ask our guests to bring their own linen, towels, tea towels and bath mats. There are pillows, doonas and blankets provided.

The cottage is set on fully fenced corner block which makes it perfect for families and provides ample off street parking. Animal lovers may enjoy feeding the friendly resident magpies. Keep a look out for Eddie the Echinda who sometimes ventures by on the lookout for some tucker, or adventurous kangaroos who have been known to hop by on occasion.

During peak time the Venus Bay No. 1 Beach (which is the closest to the cottage) is patrolled by the local surf lifesaving club. The streets of Venus Bay are fairly flat and therefore great for bike riding if guests want to bring their bikes. There is also a new bike track leading from Venus Bay along the Tarwin River to the next small town - Tarwin Lower.

Whether you want to spend a day on the beach, or have a quiet relax on the deck, this one's for you.

PET FRIENDLY: Dogs are welcome indoors in the main living area (not in the bedrooms please). We just ask that they stay off the furniture. The gardens are fully fenced and fairly large, giving dogs plenty or room to run around and explore. Guests need to bring the dog's own bedding.

RATES: Opening specials - Boxing Day - New Years Week (Check in 26th Dec, check out 2nd Jan) - $1,800 for 7 nights; January / February - $240 per night - $1,080 for 5 nights - $1,400 for 7 nights

PAYMENT: 50% deposit required to confirm booking. Balance required 2 weeks prior to arrival. Payment by cash, direct deposit or cheque (subject to allowing 7 days to clear).
