With it's funky and "on the edge" design The Quirky can be described as an unusual and definitely unique haven for couples.

The queen size bed head matches the colorful side tables and storage cupboards. We supply doonas, blankets and doona covers. BYO linen and towels.

The ensuite contains a double spa to relax in - and for more entertainment read the newspapers and interesting articles pasted on the walls.

The shower recess is brightly tiled in multi colors.

The kitchen is a retro look with yellow laminex, a chrome table and chairs and bright colored cupboards each painted a differently with funky sea creature door handles.

The stylish inside of The Quirky is filled with new, quality furniture - a red club lounge suite and ottoman, polished timber floors and fittings that are all just that bit different - one of the walls is covered with old records... from Jo Cocker to the Beach Boys!

The Quirky boasts outside decking with recycled furniture (made out of old milk cartons) and a stainless steel, gas barbeque and a well secured yard.

Once returning from a long day at the beach or Shallow Inlet, guests have the ability to wash off the salt and sand under the outside hot shower.

Another intriguing thing about The Quirky is "the throne" - an outside toilet with a mosaic tiled floor, wall papered walls.

Sandy Point is about 200km from Melbourne. Turn off at Meeniyan and head towards Fish Creek.

The Quirky is just a short stroll from both the beach access track, the Store and Cafe, however it is located in a quite side street.

Local Attractions:

If you’re heading to Sandy Point it’s because you love the beach. The ocean beach is patrolled by surf life savers during summer and offers acres of sand for beachside play and relaxation. Take your surf board or swimmers and spend countless summer hours enjoying the sun and water. Wilsons Promontory offers a scenic backdrop to your Sandy Point beach stay. The recently constructed, and imposing, Waratah Beach Surf Life Saving Club building is fully-licensed and open at selected times.

A couple of minutes away from Sandy Point, Shallow Inlet provides safe swimming options for kids. It’s also one of the world’s top places for wind and kite surfing. Indeed a world speed record was set here by a sailing craft. Keen fishers should drop a line here as well: King George Whiting, Flathead, Trevally and Australian Salmon have all been caught here at times. Boats can also be from the western beach. Climb the sand dunes for some stunning vistas of the region and towards Wilsons Promontory. There are also barbecue and picnic facilities.

As with all Prom Country towns other attractions, such as Wilsons Promontory, are down the road. You can buy almost everything you’ll need for your stay at Sandy Point general store or head to Foster or Leongatha to stock up on supplies. For a meal go to the Sandy Point café.
