Nestled in natural tea-tree on a double block The Bothy is the perfect house for a holiday. As well as being close to the Store, Tennis and Basketball courts, The Bothy, is located on a quiet street only meters from a beach access trail.

The sound of the ocean can be heard from the sunny deck. Large glass doors open from the decking into the spacious and sunlit lounge/family room. Outdoor setting and BBQ.

Location:

This 3 bedroom cedar dwelling offers accommodation for 8 people. 2 queen size beds and 2 bunks (single beds for 4 people). We supply doonas, blankets and doona covers. BYO linen and towels.

2 toilets and 1 shower. Washing machine and clothes dryer. Iron and ironing board.

Fully equipped kitchen: dishwasher, fridge, microwave.

Apart from spending the day on the beach or explore the amazing coastal areas, one can spend the heat of the day laying on the grass under the shady trees or on the large balcony.

In contrast the winter days can be spent huddled in front of the wood fire. Reverse cycle air conditioner / heater.

All modern appliances are provided, such as a large plasma TV, DVD, video and CD players. Billiard table.

On returning from the beach, sandy and salty, guests can enjoy washing off with the twin outside hot shower.

Telstra mobile reception is available at The Bothy and in Sandy Point.

Sandy Point is about 200km from Melbourne. Turn off at Meeniyan and head towards Fish Creek.

Local Attractions:

If youÃ¢ÂÂre heading to Sandy Point itÃ¢ÂÂs because you love the beach. The ocean beach is patrolled by surf life savers during summer and offers acres of sand for beachside play and relaxation. Take your surf board or swimmers and spend countless summer hours enjoying the sun and water. Wilsons Promontory offers a scenic backdrop to your Sandy Point beach stay. The recently constructed, and imposing, Waratah Beach Surf Life Saving Club building is fully-licensed and open at selected times.

A couple of minutes away from Sandy Point, Shallow Inlet provides safe swimming options for kids. ItÃ¢ÂÂs also one of the worldÃ¢ÂÂs top places for wind and kite surfing. Indeed a world speed record was set here by a sailing craft. Keen fishers should drop a line here as well: King George Whiting, Flathead, Trevally and Australian Salmon have all been caught here at times. Boats can also be from the western beach. Climb the sand dunes for some stunning vistas of the region and towards Wilsons Promontory. There are also barbecue and picnic facilities.

As with all Prom Country towns other attractions, such as Wilsons Promontory, are down the road. You can buy almost everything youÃ¢ÂÂll need for your stay at Sandy Point general store or head to Foster or Leongatha to stock up on supplies. For a meal go to the Sandy Point cafÃÂ©.
